Please welcome Schuylkill Haven's new Borough Administrator, Scott Graver. Scott comes to us from Minersville with many years experience with municipalities and we are honored to have him. He took position on August 7th bringing many years of municipal knowledge and experience to our community. Congratulations and welcome aboard Scott!

August 20th - Schuylkill County Volunteer Firefighter's Association Delegates Night at Summit Station Fire Co.
August 21st - Open House for three Haven Fire Companies. Stay tuned for further information as its provided.
August 23rd - 54th Annual Schuylkill County Volunteer Firefighter's Association Convention Parade (The parade will form throughout the morning and will proceed throughout the borough beginning at 1pm)
September 13th - Composting Clinic workshop. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., these workshops will be held at Leslie's Garden at the Agricultural Park on Park Street in Pottsville. Pre-registration is required to receive a bin. Seating is limited! Call for information and registration to (570) 622-4225. The registration fee is nonrefundable, however, you may send a substitute to take your place. Each workshop costs $5 per household. Registration deadline is Sept 4th and October 1st. Please see October dates for second workshop date & time.
September 20th - Pre-Borough Day Kickoff Bash/Dance. To be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at St. Ambrose Parish Center. A DJ will provide entertainment and the event will be emceed. Alcoholic beverages are welcome within reason. Light beverages and refreshments will be provided.
September 27th - Schuylkill Haven's 20th anniversary Borough Day. For more information click HERE
October 8th - Second Composting Clinic workshop. To be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sweet Arrow Lake Clubhouse (take Shoreline Drive off Rt. 443 to Club House Road).
October 12th - Kaufman's Chicken Bar-B-Que from 11 a.m. until sold out (will be held in the Borough Hall parking lot. The cost will be $6.50, which includes half a chicken, baked potato, applesauce, roll & butter. All net proceeds will benefit the Island Park project.
October 18th, 19th, 25th & 26th - Haunted Island New! (This new event to the Borough will include a Haunted Island hayride, food, refreshments and fun pumpkin events. All net proceeds will benefit the Island Park project.
October 23rd - Schuylkill Haven Annual Halloween Parade (rain date of Monday, October 27th) The parade will begin at 7 p.m. and will follow the same route as last year. Please register online at havenjaycees@hotmail.com or call Wendy (449-0749) or Gaylene (385-0433). Please register by October 16th in order to be a parade participant.
October 25th - Biddy Ball season begins. Please refer to Parks and Recreation for more information.
